About Sylvia Casares, Houston's Enchilada Queen

Sylvia Casares, known nationally as The Enchilada Queen, is a James Beard Award–nominated chef, restaurateur, and cookbook author who has defined Houston’s enchilada culture for more than 25 years. From her two Sylvia’s Enchilada Kitchen locations to her acclaimed Enchilada Queen Cookbook, Sylvia is celebrated for bringing authentic South Texas flavor to the national stage.

Today, her Signature Sauce Collection (Red Salsa, Tomatillo Sauce, and Enchilada Chili Gravy) makes it easy for families everywhere to enjoy true Tex-Mex at home.
